Playing With Chase's Toys

Today I was bored and tired of playing with my own toys. I decided that I would hang out and play with Chase’s toys in his nursery. After all, a big brother's responsibility is to make sure that his little brother's toys are safe. After playing with a few things, here are my conclusions.

The toy car was a little uncomfortable.I am glad that I get to sleep in the bed with Jay and Amy because the crib just seems like a prison to me.
I loved the stroller! Who needs exercise when being pushed by a human is so much more comfortable.

Waiting For My Baby Brother

Today I was a little sad because I do not want to have to wait for Chase to come home from Korea. His nursery is all decorated, so I figured I would hang out on his bed.I really hope that he comes home soon.

Pool Time

Those of you that know me know that I HATE the water. You would think that Jay and Amy would know this after 10+ years of being my owners. However, this evening they went swimming at Jay’s parent’s house. They usually do not go swimming, but when they do I get to stay inside unsupervised chasing and tormenting the cat, Doc. However, today Jay and Amy thought it would be fun to have me play with them in the pool…NOT COOL!
I did not enjoy myself at all and took every opportunity to get out of the pool as quickly as possible and to get dried off.

Hopefully the cold weather comes soon so Jay and Amy go back to hibernating on the couch with me comfortably resting by their sides.

Hanging Out With Addison

Today I did my “dogly” duty and played with Jay and Amy’s niece, Addison while Jay and Griff were working at Jesse’s new house. I really love kids and jump at any opportunity to get a photo op with a baby. I still need to teach Addison a few things about being a baby. She does have the slobbering down but if only I could get her to stick out her tongue…then my job would be complete.

Baby Brother

I am posting this to let everyone know that I am going to be a big brother. I don’t know much about this adopted child except that Jay and Amy keep saying that he will be arriving from Korea by the end of the year. I am so excited because soon there will be two babies running around the house. Let the good times roll!

Easter Treat

Today Jay and Amy got really excited and asked me if I wanted a treat….DUH, of course I did! Anyway, Jay showed me the treat and when I went to get it, the treat disappeared and turned into a piece of plastic. I tried looking for it, but then Jay picked up the piece of plastic and it turned back into a treat. I went to get it again, but POOF, the treat again disappeared and turned into a piece of plastic. After about 3 minutes of this and just as I was about to open a case of whoopass, Jay gave me the treat. Jay and Amy thought that it was so funny as they videotaped me.

Lola Came To Play...And Play We Did!

On Wednesday evening, the Hill’s dropped Lola off at our house. Today, Amy and Jay also had the Myers’ children over for an action packed day. The morning started with a long walk around 8:00am. While Jay went to work, Amy and the Myers’ children dyed Easter eggs while Lola and I rest from the walk. When Jay got home, we went outside for lunch and some rollerblading on the street. We then went to the park where Jay and Tyler played Frisbee golf and Lola and I ran around with Kayla and Emily. After walking back from the park, Lola and I were so exhausted we crashed on the couch.
Exercising is fun and all but I prefer to veg on the couch. My 10 year old body needs its rest!

Snow It All

We have gotten over 40 inches of snow this year and I am happy to stay inside the entire winter and hibernate with Jay and Amy.However, after yesterdays 10 inches of snow, Jay thought that it would be fun to video tape me after he put me in the snow. I crawled my way out but then he climbed into a snow drift and tempted me with an imaginary treat. As you can see, I managed to get to make it most of the way until I realized that he did not have a treat. The things I go through to make Jay and Amy laugh. Thankfully I did get a treat when we went inside.

Vacuum Cleaners Suck

Tonight Jay and Amy got me on video trying to get their stupid noise maker. They get it out every now and then and most of the time I do not mind it. Usually I like to sit and stare at it. However, out of the blue it makes this loud hissing sound out of its mouth that drives me crazy.

One of these days I'll get a hold of that thing and teach it not to hiss at me in MY house!

The Vet

I can’t believe that I continued to have my sneezing fit today. Just as I thought, Jay and Amy took me to see the NASTY vet.
I tried to squirm away whenever they let go of me, but I did not have the strength. It is times like that when I wish I were a big labrador. Then I would show them a thing or two.


It turns out that the sneezing is most likely from my allergies. However, I overheard the vet say something about my teeth possibly being an issue and needing to be cleaned. When I get done this blog post, I will be Googling “anesthesia” and “teeth extraction” to find out what they mean. I’ll keep you posted.

Sneezing Attack!

The past couple of days I have been sneezing a lot. I’m not sure what is making me sneeze, but it really interrupts my sleeping schedule. Last night, Jay decided to film me.

Hopefully the sneezing stops soon because if it keeps up, I overheard Jay and Amy say that they would have to take me to the vet…I HATE THE VET!!!

Blizzard

We got hit hard with a blizzard Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Jay and Amy decided that they would go out and shovel several times throughout the day to keep up with the snow. I thought that I would go outside and give him a paw.Turns out that the snow was very cold.
I thought that it would be better if I helped out by watching them shovel from inside of the house.I really loved staying cozy with them inside during the blizzard.

Christmas Time!

This year for Christmas, I managed to pull off 2, count them 2 treats from Jay and Amy. Christmas Eve, Jay and Amy went out with friends and while they were gone, I found the popcorn ball present that the groomer gave them to give me. I quickly gobbled that deliciousness up and waited for them to get home. When they got home, they saw that I ate the popcorn ball. I got scolded, but that’s all!

On Christmas day, Jay put together a 30Rock themed Christmas for Amy. Here I am as Tracy Jordan.
After Jay and Amy opened their gifts, I got to open a present but it was not a treat.


I’m not upset that I got another stupid outfit because I got a 2nd treat anyway. Manipulating Jay and Amy is EASY! Maybe next year I will try for 3 treats.

Doc Visit

Today Jay and Amy took me to Doc’s house. Since Grump and Mee-Maw were on vacation, I thought that this was going to be a great visit because I could chase their pesky cat Doc all around the house and not get yelled at by Grump. However, when we arrived, Doc jumped right on Amy’s back and sat on her shoulders like a necklace.
I could not believe it…Amy actually let him on her shoulders and I think that she may have enjoyed it.

One day I’ll catch Doc and teach him to never mess with MY Amy!

10th Birthday!

Today I turned 10 years old. Jay and Amy are usually great at throwing parties so I got all dressed up this morning waiting for the surprise. Sadly, none came. No party, no presents to unwrap...What the heck happened! I was ready to pack up my things and leave when Jay called me to give me a treat.


I guess I'll stay around for another year!

Happy Halloween

This year as usual, Amy got me another stupid costume to wear. I have learned throughout the years to let Amy have her fun so I wore the costume without giving her much trouble.
Halloween this year was very wet. It had rained all day and by 6:00pm when trick or treating started in our neighborhood, it was pouring. As always, I monitored the door keeping a look out for treaters. If I liked them, they were allowed candy.

Snoring

Jay and Amy always tell their friends that I snore very loud sometimes when I sleep. A few nights ago I was sleeping and unbeknownst to me, Jay recorded me snoring. I added the sound file below because I personally do not think that it sounds that bad. They are just lucky I let them sleep in the bed with me and not on the floor at night.

INJURED

A few days ago, Jay and Amy spotted a tic on me. They pulled it out but now I have a scab where I was bit. It itched so badly and I just had to keep scratching it. Amy saw that I was scratching the area open and she put this stupid wrap around me so I cannot get to it. Man I wish that I had opposable thumbs right now. Not only does it still itch, but I can’t go outside without the lady dogs making fun of me. I wish that it would just heal already!

Lola Plays "Find The Sock"

Today was Lola's last day at our house because Tom and Lisa are coming back from vacation. Thank goodness...I thought she'd never leave. This evening before Tom came to get her, Jay and Amy thought it would be fun to take the sock that Lola is obsessed with when she was not looking and video her trying to find it.


I of course LMAO on the couch the whole time while she repeatedly fell into their evil plot.

Lola Steals The Show

Tonight Lola and I were playing and I felt like showing off my flips that Jay does to me. It was AWESOME! Of course when I got done, Lola came to Jay with this sock that she started playing with yesterday. Amy and Jay think that it is SOOOOO cute. Big deal, so she never wants to give up the sock. Anyway, long story short, Jay and her started playing with the sock and my flips were forgotten.

Having Lola here this past week has been fun, but I can't wait to get back to the good old days of just Jay, Amy and Me!
